SHY !
so we went to get the ultrasound, and baby is beautiful and healthy.
I am getting ahead of myself.
the ultrasound place was an experience iv never had before. room was like a theater with a huge 72 inch TV on the wall and seats sat up in rows for people family and friends to watch he ultrasound. was a pretty nifty place
the tech put the jell on my belly it had been in a warmer! i was expecting the cold jell of the doctors office! but nope!
color me impressed and then this crisp clear picture of my baby! wiggling and being comfy so comfy that we couldn't get the baby to change positions...
so we could see the gender legs and bottom were wedged in deep in my pelvic bone. so no luck we don't get to find out the gender. i was bummed we paid for this and would not be able to afford to pay for a second one. "we can let you come back in three weeks for free" the tech said seeing my distress!!" YES!!!!
so we go back august 8th the initial date we had set up to begin with and my and my husbands fifth wedding anniversary
so we are going to see if my grandma will baby sit and my husband and I will make a date of it!
you didn't think id leave you with out pictures did you??
has daddy's chin
legs closed tighter than fort nox!
I do hope you will subscribe and share in this experience with me!

The Date Is Set!
Iv gone back and forth with whether we should find out the gender of the baby! In the past I have been told "its a girl" and went out an bought all pink stuff, only for baby to be born... and well he is Lucian who turns four tomorrow.
then with my next baby, I found out again surly they wont be wrong two times. had 9 ultrasounds with different doctors all of them said girl. at birth....nope he was a boy! so you see my dilemma. with my first they said girl and I could see she was a girl with my youngest he was clearly a boy.
so a bundle of nerves I handed my husband the card my midwife gave me when I asked about ultrasounds and told him to call and make an appointment.
"it is set for august 8th!" he said.
I sat there for a minute and did the math..."but....ill be 20 weeks then..." and I was ok with that.... id be further along its more accurate that way......no no I wasn't ok with that. there were girls in my online forums finding out at 14 weeks! no I need to know as soon as possible!
so I called back and asked if they could get me in before 20 weeks, and the lady was very sweet, she said "well we can tell you gender any where from 14 weeks on,"i stopped her right there I wanted to be a little bit further along but I didn't want to wait till august but I didn't want it to be so early that it could still be wrong "ok how is about July 11th?" she asked and I quickly did the math in my head, that sounds good ill be 16 weeks +1 day. eeeek!! I don't have to wait till august!!
I was just tickled I'm so excited to see my belly dweller!
so many people now a days are doing gender reveal parties with colored cakes and balloons in a box. but I think this is something I want to find out while no one is looking at my face im not saying I will be disappointed if its not the gender I want .... but I might be for a second and need a moment to recompose myself. because you know I will be judged if I am disappointed by not getting the gender I wanted. and I do I have a gender in mind that I want. I'm not ashamed to say that this is my last baby. so I want this baby to be what... well I want. and people think you should just say " I don't care as long as baby is healthy. of cores I want baby to be healthy. just because you want one gender doesn't mean you don't want the baby to be healthy... and I will be happy to be having a baby at all doesn't mean I didn't want what I want.
so I am ecstatic to be finding out what the belly dweller is! July 11th! send me positive vibes! and happy thoughts!
I do hope you will subscribe and share in this experience with me!

In The Name Game
Picking a name that will be stuck on a child for the rest of its life....is hard. "ooh I like this" but in grade school he may be called this by his peers " "oh I like this" "but look what it spells back words"
I want something that will be cute on a baby and child but would also work well in the professional world.
first off I picked coralline for a girl, and baylynn for a boy. Then I heard the name Arabella and I fell in love! I need this name! and then my best friend said she was going to name her baby that...before I had said the name out loud....ouch there is some friend code where you just don't steal your friends baby names... its not done...not if you want to keep said friend. the next day my husband whom I had not told the name came in from work and said "what do you think of the name arabella?"
I hung my head, and explained that I loved the name but, Brandi was using it.
later Brandi called and said he husband hated the name! and that she wouldn't be using it. angels sang behind me and lights arose from no where!! the name was free to use if she gave the ok. I told her of how my husband had suggested the name with out my saying the name. and she said "Ashley we live in different states if you use the name I am fine with it" angels sang again!
we decided baby would be arabella Faye or baylynn emit and made a mistake at only 11 weeks. we announced the names to the world....yup bad idea
my dad had nothing kind to say about either name "arabella ....arabella sounds like you just threw a bunch of letters together that is an awful name" and baylynn, "that sounds like a dwarf name from load of the rings, I think it is a dwarfs name in the actual lord of the rings" he was right Balin
turned me off of the name all together... back to square one.
"what do you think of this?" "sounds to much like this?" "how about this?" "doesn't that mean this?" oh the fun
"if its a boy what do you think about naming him after your best friend?" I asked my husband " I like that idea" he was shaving and didn't seem very interested. "what is wades full name?" I asked him "chandler wade" ooh I like chandler I hadn't before but hearing it now it sounded right.
I thought long and hard on the girls name had to be right and I felt like I needed it to make my family happy, my grandfathers name is Cecile jack sanborn. how could I Incorporate that... Cecelia
I like Cecelia very feminine and we have plenty of nick name options cece Celia sissy. I liked it... so we announced again. think people are becoming to a point that they don't believe us that we are naming our kid what were saying....just going to change it again....well guess what they were right. after a while I wasn't feeling Cecilia any more.. chandler is stuck if its a boy that's his name. but I feel a pull back to a name I initially was in love with. coralline... why did I ever pull from the name I love it, it means heart and makes me think of once upon a time! and I later found out Faye was my great grand mothers name, I had no idea when I picked it out, pretty serindipodus lol

What Am I Getting Myself In To?
Where do I start
I am pregnant with my fifth an potentially final child! I am due on Christmas day 2013.
What is so crazy about this? one might ask. well I have never made it to my due date, oh and I am planning a home birth!
My midwife is convinced if I follow her instruction she can get me to term. no dr. has ever given me hope. my last doctor when I was pregnant with my youngest said " your not even going to make it as far as you did with your last" very discouraging and very bad environment to bring a child in to the world in.
"your Doctors have killed your immune system" my midwife said to me when I explained what had happened in my previous births. she told me if I cut out all sugar and up my probiotic intake it will rebuild my immune system she says the group B strep, ::more info on gbs :: she told me since my body's immune system was shot, it couldn't fight of the colony of gbs growing in my body and the gbs was attacking my uterus causing contractions in turn causing my cervix to open and baby to come. she also wanted me to take bioflavonoids and Zink to give my baby a sac of steal in hopes that my waters don't break prematurely. its only broke with one of my babies on its own but that was at 31 weeks and that's just not good.
I want a peaceful water birth. in my home listening to some good dubstep, with family and loved friends around me. only positive energies.
when I had my youngest my body was telling me to sit up on my knees I was in no pain at all when I was in this position it allowed me to get to where I needed to be when the doctors told me it was time to push. I remember specifically one of the doctors in the room saying "ok time to push lay back and put your feet in the stirrups" and I said "I cant lay back it hurts to bad for me to lay back..." I was in no pain in the position I was in. and his reply to that was "if you want to have this baby now you will lay on your back." that is the point where I thought to myself never again. my whole experience didn't have to be painful. but the doctors made it that way and in the position of ether leave with baby practically hanging out or doing what i was told...i wasn't left with any options, when i got on my back and started pushing....my contractions stopped... all together stopped took 10 minutes for them to come back, that there alone was proof that that is not a natural way to push. this time will be different even if I do end up in a hospital to deliver my baby. I will have my midwife there as a doula to be my voice when no doctor will listen to the insignificant patient. that being said. my midwife has said as long as we make it to 35 weeks we can deliver at home! and I am tickled pink by that idea I am beyond excited !
I and 13 weeks and 4 days today, every Wednesday I take a belly picture. my body is broken i don't look pregnant when I'm pregnant I never get a big round belly. midwife said babies position may be another contributing factor in my kids coming early. I am showing more now than i have ever showed with any of my other children though!
I do hope you will subscribe and share in this experience with me!
